I teach reading and math to special education students. They want ot learn and do the same work as their peers, but have learned to avoid the work because they have been told they can't do it. This book not only teaches the processes step by step with easy to understand instructions and examples. The practice work sheets are appealing, instructional and follow the "Learning Standards" of every state (as per feedback other teachers I have introducted to this book). Every teacher I have introduced this series to has "flipped"! It is the BEST!! I also recommend the rest of this series: "Total Reading", and "Comprehensive Curriculum". They also have a geography and science set that is very good as well.
This book covers all areas of math for this grade level. More direct math with good examples, but also has "fun" pages to keep the child amused and interested.
We bought this workbook for my daughter to stay in practice over the summer. She has actually asked several times if she can do workbook pages before supper. This book has a good variety of problems, nicely laid out on the page, with appealing graphics and examples she can follow. I have printed the 7th grade teacher's pacing guide, and have found problems in the workbook that will help her review each of the topics they will cover next school year.
